Abstract

Objective: To identify a number of factors related to the patient's psychology before surgery, analyze some psychological factors of the patient that affect the success of surgery. Subject and method: Conducting research to explore over 180 patients indicated for surgery who have been treated at the Department of Ear-Nose-Throat, 110 Military Hospital from May 2019 to December 2019. Result: Psychological anxiety of patients before surgery was 78.9% fear of pain. 93.9% of patients wishing to receive anesthesia before surgery. The percentage of patients expecting advice on surgical methods before surgery was 90%. The rate of patients who eat and sleep normally reaches a high rate of 75%. The proportion of patients with diseases related to blood clotting disorders was 30%. 77.3% of patients with throat disease worry about surgery. When being consulted by medical staff before surgery, the patient was assured of 95.6%. Conclusion: Health workers need to prepare well psychological factors for patients before surgery.
