Abstract

Objective: To assess of the relationship between NT-proBNP levels with some clinical, paraclinical features and mortality after hemorrhagic stroke. Subject and method: Including 110 patients diagnosed with hemorrhagic stroke, treated at Stroke Center - Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital from October 2015 to August 2019, assessing the extent of damage according to the scales (assessment of consciousness on the Glasgow scale, severity on the NIHSS scale, muscle strength on the British Medical Research Council scales, disability on the Modified Rankin Score), determine the association of NT-proBNP with some clinical features and find the association of NT-proBNP, some clinical features in prognosis of the mortality after hemorrhagic stroke. Result and conclusion: NT-proBNP concentration was associated with the severity of hemorrhagic stroke as assessed by Glasgow score, NIHSS score and hematoma volume, the group of patients ≥ 60 years old, in both men and women, with hypertension, diabetes and Glasgow score > 8 points, NIHSS score ≤ 15 points, NT-proBNP concentration was higher in the mortality group compared with the surviving group, the difference was statistically significant with p<0.05.
