Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the results of gynecologica laparoscopic surgeries. Subject and method: A prospective, cross-sectional study on 200 gynecological patients treated by laparoscopic surgery at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology - 103 Central Hospital of Lao People's Army from November 2019 to June 2022. Result: The age of patient group was 21-45 years old 77.5%, the indication pathology for surgery included ectopic pregnancy 35%, uterine fibroids 30.5%, ovarian cysts 16%. Common complications were shoulder and neck pain 1.5%, bladder fistula 0.5%, urethral fistula 0.5%. The conversion rate to open surgery was 0.5%. Surgical results: patients could eat and drink within 24 hours after surgery 81.5%, 47% could sit up and walk within 24 hours, 72% patients were hospitalized for 3 days. The patients were assessed on a pain scale from 3-6 points 49%, and the number of patients using drugs after surgery was less than that of open surgery 78%. Conclusion: Laparoscopic surgery method in gynecology pathology achieved good results and high satisfaction, many advantages, few complications and short hospital stay.
