Một số đặc điểm dịch tễ, lâm sàng và kết quả điều trị bệnh nhân COVID-19 tại Bệnh viện Trung ương 103 Quân đội Nhân dân Lào (04/2020-04/2022)

Abstract

Objective: To study some epidemiological, clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients with COVID-19 at 103 Central Hospital of Laos People’s Army. Subject and method: A prospective, cross-sectional study of patients with COVID-19 treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases - 103 Central Hospital - Lao People's Army from April 2020-April 2022. Result: In total of 1809 COVID-19 patients, female was more frequent, the mean age was 44 ± 8.6 years, mainly freelancers and farmers 978 patients (54.06%). Patients with mild and moderate course of disease accounted for 1480 patients (81.81%), severe and critical: 329 patients (18.19%). Common comorbidities were diabetes: 330 patients (18.24%), hypertension: 265 patients (14.65%). Invasive procedures treatments included: Dialysis 20 patients, appendectomy: 15 patients, cesarean section 2 patients. There were 68 mortality cases (3.75%). The main cause of mortality was respiratory failure in 35 patients (51.48%), other causes 33 patients (48.52%). Conclusion: In our COVID-19 cohort: The mean age was 44 ± 8.6 years, mainly freelancers and farmers, clinical manifestations were mainly mild and moderate, and mortality rate was 3.75%.
