Abstract
Objective: To describe imaging and to assess the value of 64-slice CT in lymph node staging of gastric cancer. Subject and method: From January 2021 to January 2022, 35 patients confirmed with gastric cancer by endoscopic biopsy underwent preoperative staging with 64-slice computed tomography followed by radical surgical treatment at 103 Military Hospital. Result: Lymph nodes were found most commonly in proximal group. Short-axis diameter of lymph nodes was 6.9 ± 2.7mm. 53% were oval in lymph node shape. The overall diagnostic accuracy of the N staging was 62.9%. The stage-specific sensitivity, specificity and accuracy for N staging of gastric cancers were Se 50%, Sp 95,6%, Acc 80% for N0; Se 66.7%, Sp 75%, Acc 74.2% for N1; Se 50%, Sp 75.7%, Acc 74.2% for N2; Se 50%, Sp 100%, Acc 74.2% for N3. Conclusion: The accuracy of 64-slcie CT in the preoperative diagnosis of metastasis lymph nodes in patients with gastric cancer remains poor.
