Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the outcomes of concomitant mitral and aortic valve replacement surgery with On-X, at be discharged from hospital. Subject and method: A prospective and descriptive study. All patient has been diagnosed and indicated to replace concomitant mitral and aortic valve with mechanical valve at Bach Mai Hospital within the year 2015-2018, On-X had been used. Result: 100 patients aged 45.8 ± 9.6 years (22-64), female/male 48/52, with NYHA III-IV (64%), AF (67%). Echocardiography with dilatation of heart chamber: LVEDd (mm) 55.2 ± 8.9, LA: 53.8 ± 10.5mm and HTAP: 47.2 ± 13.8mmHg. In operation: Concomitant mitral and aortic valve replacement surgery, On-X had been selected. Post-operation: Redo by bleeding (1%), mortality (3%). Early outcome: Most had improved NYHA class (NYHA I: 76.3%), AF decreased in numbers. Echocardiography: The heart chamber and pressure of pulmonary artery decreased significantly. None of structural valve failure and para-valvular leak. Conclusion: Concomitant DVR surgery with good results, the operation death rate 3%. At time be discharged from hospital, almost patient had improved physical symptoms, On-X located on mitral and aortic valve has shown good mobile.
