Abstract

Objective: To determine the efficacy, short-term results of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) in patients with chronic iliac diseases. Subject and method: A descriptive and cross-sectional study from September, 2016 to December, 2019 at Bach Mai Hospital. Result: Technical successful 96%; Clinical successful rate 83.3%, dynamical successful 76.0%, minor amputation 4.2%, everage ABI:
Pre-procedure: 0.43 ± 0.33, post procedure: 0.62 ± 0.25, 1 month: 0.82 ± 0,18. The complication included: access site hematoma (6.7%), acute renal failure (4.0%), dissection (1.3%), acute thrombosis (2.7%). Conclusion: PTA in patients with chronic iliac diseases is a feasible and effective procedure.
