Khảo sát tỷ lệ viêm tại chỗ và một số yếu tố liên quan sau đặt catheter tĩnh mạch ngoại vi tại Bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108 năm 2021

Abstract

Objective: To survey ratio of peripheral intravenous catheter phlebitis at some departments and associated factors of phlebitis after patients having peripheral intravenous catheters. Subject and method: A cross-sectional study on 389 patients who received peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVC) and 389 PIVC from April to June in 2021. The study uses the INS phlebitis scale to assess the level of inflammation and uses SPSS 20.0 software to analyze the related factors. Result: The proportion of phlebitis was 16.5% for PIVC. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis show that there were 5 associated factors and have a positive impact on peripheral phlebitis. Conclusion: The proportion of phlebitis was high. Nurses should pay attention to the factors of retention time, treatment department, disease, type of catheter and venous catheter placement for patients to limit the risk of phlebitis.
