Thực trạng hoạt động giáo dục sức khỏe cho người bệnh của điều dưỡng tại Bệnh viện Phổi Trung ương năm 2020

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the reality of health education activities for patients of nurses at the National Lung Hospital in 2020. Subject and method: A cross-sectional descriptive study. Survey of 196 patients in 14 clinical departments at the time of hospital discharge/transfer. Result: 100% of the patients responded to the medical care during their hospitalization. The proportion of patients receiving medical education on essential contents is quite high: Instructions for follow-up care reached 100%, instructions for appropriate diet reached 96.4%; guidance on appropriate living regime reached 87.2%; instructions on how to prevent disease reached 90.3%; training guidelines to improve health reached 87.2%. The nurse's education skills were highly appreciated by the patients, in particular: The nurse clearly set goals before provide health education, created conditions for listeners to ask questions and thanked the listeners, all reached 100%. However, there were still 32.1% of the patients who assessed that medical education did not have documents/illustrations. Conclusion: Health education activities of nurses are highly appreciated by the hospital (63% of the patients are very satisfied and 37% of the patients are satisfied). Research shows that education materials are also one of the content that makes patients satisfied. Hospitals need to develop health education content with full leaflets, posters, videos... with illustrations suitable for patients and strengthen inspection and supervision of health education activities of nurses.
