Abstract
Gallstone ileus is a mechanical bowel obstruction due to translocation of gallstones into gastrointestinal lumen. It is a rare disease which usually occurs in elderly female patients. Early diagnosis is difficult and mortality rate is high because of multiple comorbidities. CT scanner is a diagnostic method with high value. The main treatment is surgery. The clinical case was a 35-year old female with medical history of cholelithiasis for several years who came to the hospital because of bowel obstruction. The reason of obstruction was displaced biliary stones that detected intraoperatively.
