Abstract

Objective: To evaluate clinical and radiographic characteristics of patients with immediate implant placement at 108 Military Central Hospital. Subject and method: From 2015 to 2021, 85 patients were treated with immediate implant placement after tooth extraction. Result: 61.2% males, the average age of patients was 44.1 ± 15.1 years (an age range of 18 - 76 years). 111 teeth were extracted but 112 fixtures were implanted. Anterior tooth was 36%, premolar was 28.8% and molar was 35.1%. Non-restorable caries was main cause (39.6%), retained deciduous tooth was 4.5%. 91% implants was longer than 10mm, 42.4% tissue was thin and 16.5% was high smile line. The bone density D3 was very common in both arch and all region (71.4%), D4 bone was 5.4%. Result: Immediate implant placement can be performed in many different ages and tooth regions, it is necessary to select patients with enough bone to ensure initial stability for oseointegration.
