Evaluate the results of treatment for unrupture ectopic pregnancy with single dose methotrexate

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the result and that factors related to the success of treatment for unrupture ectopic pregnancy with single dose methotrexate. Subject and method: A prospective trial study was conducted on 30 patient with single dose methotrexate (MTX) for the treatment of ectopic unrupture pregnancy. Result: The overall rate of success 86.7% in which the first inject was 80%, the second inject was 13.3%, the third inject was 6.67%. With the first injection, level of serum betaHCG < 1000UI/L, rate of success was 100%, 1000 - 3000UI/L was: 86.67%, 3000 - 5000UI/L was 33.33%. The size of ectopic pregnancy mass < 2.5cm the rate of success was 92.3%, > 2.5cm was 50%. Conclusion: The rate of successes on treatment unruptered ectopic pregnancy with single dose MTX was 86.7%. The rate of successes depends on the intital level of serum βhCG and size of ectopic pregnancy mass.
