Abstract

Objective: To describe the current state of hand eczema of medical staff at 108 Military Central Hospital in 2019 and a few related factors. Subject and method: A cross-sectional descriptive study, survey 673 medical staff at the 108 Military Central Hospital after random selection by lottery based on expertise (internal medicine, surgery and near-clinical field) through completing a dermatologist's self-filled and diagnostic questionnaire. Result: 21.2% of medical staff had hand eczema. There was a relationship between hand eczema and atopic sites (allergic rhinitis: 45.5%), hand washing more than 20 times/day (43.2%), using a quick antiseptic solution (21.7%). Conclusion: Research shows that medical staff with hand eczema account for 21.2%. There is a relationship between hand eczema and atopic allergies, number of hand wash/day and use of a quick antiseptic solution.
