Study the role of 320 detector row CT in the evaluation of vascular invasion in periampullary tumors

Abstract
Objective: To assess the role of 320 detector row CT in evaluation of vascular invasion in periampullary tumors. Subject and method: A retrospective, prospective and descriptive study was carried out on 85 patients with clinically suspected periampullary tumors, underwent surgery and had pathological results, from January 2016 to May 2020 at 108 Military Central Hospital. Result: The male:female ratio was 1.3 and the average age was 62.8. The role of 320 detector row CT in evaluation of vascular invasion in periampullary tumors: Se: 88.2%, Sp: 95.6%, Acc: 94.1%, NPV: 97%, PPV: 83.3%. Kappa coefficient: 0.82. Conclusion: 320 detector row CT is an effective method to evaluate the vascular invasion in periampullary tumors.
