Abstract

Objective: To research on blocking afferent pathways of pain sensation to the central nervous system, relieving cancer pain and heat energy of radiofrequency ablation is used for killing cancer cells. Subject and method: This prospective observational study was conducted on 30 patients whose coeliac plexus blocked, 2 patients whose hypogastric plexus blocked, 10 patients whose lung cancer ablation from June 2018 to December 2020 at 108 Military Central Hospital. Result: For the coeliac plexux block, average VAS score before the medical intervention was 7 and anterior approach was most. 18 of 30 patients had VAS score reduced by 50% after 2 weeks and the most common complication was diarrhea. For the hypogastric plexus block, average VAS score before the medical intervention was 8 and reduced by half after the intervention and posterior approach was most. 1 of 2 cases had sciatica pain and been recovered after 1 month. For the lung cancer ablation, all of 10 patients had metastatic tumors and necrotic tumors after 6 months of observing. The most common complication was pneumothorax. Conclusion: The absolute - alcohol injection technique to block the hypo gastric plexus, the coeliac plexus and the lung cancer ablation guided by computed tomography and Maxio robot offer high precision, efficacy of initial treatment and low complication rate.
