Thực trạng kiến thức, thái độ và thực hành về phòng chống bệnh nấm miệng và mối liên quan ở bệnh nhân phục hình răng của tỉnh Nam Định năm 2019-2020

Abstract

Objective: To describe the status of knowledge, attitude, practice and relationship analysis on oral thrush in dental prostheses patients. Subject and method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was performed with 132 patients wearing dental prostheses in Nam Dinh province in 2019-2020. Selecting intentionally according to 03 regions, in each region, randomly select a clinic representing the region, from this clinic randomly selects a list of patients who are wearing dental prostheses. Result: Male patients were 74 people (accounting for 56.1%), female patients were 58 people (accounting for 43.9%), knowledge of oral thrush prevention had not reached 82 patients (accounting for 62.1%), the attitude of oral thrush prevention was not positive, was 86 patients (accounting for 65.1%), practice on oral thrush prevention had not reached 78 (accounting for 59.1%). Relationship analysis showed that knowledge, attitudes and scores of knowledge and attitudes were closely related to oral thrush prevention practices. Conclusion: Knowledge, attitudes and practices on prevention of oral thrush in patients wearing restorations are still limited, so it is necessary to introduce communication programs on oral health, prevention of oral thrush in patients wearing prostheses, Oral and denture hygiene instructions, as well as regular dental check-ups.
