Clinical and paraclinical characteristics of neonatal septicemia at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital

Abstract
Objective: To describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of neonatal septicemia at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Subject and method: The cross-sectional descriptive study included case analysis of 35 patients diagnosed with neonatal septicaemia and positive blood culture results. Result and conclusion: Showed that: Temperature alteration (42.8%), poor sucking, stop sucking (74.3%), pale skin (85.7%), livedo reticularis (51.4%), tachycardia (28.6%), bradycardia (11.5%), unconsciously (42.9%), tachypnea (45.7%), apnea (37.1%). Formula of blood: The rate of leukocytes decreased was 22.9%, the leukocyte increase was 14.3%; platelet reduction was 34.3%, CRP increased was 68.6%.
