Abstract

Objective: To describe the characteristics of post dural puncture headache at the 103 Central Hospital. Subject and method: A descriptive study. 189 patients who was post dural puncture in the Internal Neurology Department of 103 Central Hospital of Lao People's Army from October 2020 to April 2022. Result and conclusion: Post dural puncture 189 patients. Headache symptoms after lumbar puncture was 44.97%, the percentage of female patients with headache was higher than that of men. 85.88% presented with headache 8 hours after lumbar puncture. 75.3% were moderate to mild pain. Pain duration less than 7 days was 85.88%. Common accompanying symptoms were dizziness 48.24%, nausea 14.12%, stiff neck 11.76%.
